There are three types of shoulder replacement surgical procedures:

  • Total shoulder replacement: this is essentially the most common kind. It replaces the ball at the high of your humerus with a metallic ball, which will get attached to the rest bone. The socket will get protected with a new plastic surface.

  • Partial shoulder replacement: The ball will get changed.

  • Reverse shoulder substitute: more often than not, you would get this in case you have a torn rotator cuff. It’s additionally completed when a further shoulder replacement surgical procedure didn’t work. The steel ball will get hooked up to your shoulder bones, and a socket is implanted at the top of your arm.

If you decide to have shoulder replacement surgery, your shoulder orthopedic surgeon may provide the best treatment to lead the life as earlier.
